When you are setting up connections to your financial institutions you are redirected to our 3rd party service provider, TrueLayer. BudgetSync or TrueLayer do not have visibilty of the login data you use to access your financial institution. After you successfully authenticate with your financial institution, TrueLayer is provided an access token which is then passed to BudgetSync. This access token is then used to securely obtain, store and sync transactions from your bank to your budget.
Your TrueLayer access token is refreshed at a minimum of every one hour to ensure continued connectivity to your financial institution.
